The client wanted to transform a traditional pub into a bookshop that also served coffee, while ensuring the space always felt like a bookshop first and a café second. With a tight six-week design and installation programme, the challenge was to create a memorable destination that encouraged customers to browse, relax, and spend time within the space.

Selekt Design introduced floor-to-ceiling bookcases with integrated storage, transforming the space into an immersive literary environment. The existing bar was redesigned with traditional panelling to blend seamlessly with the new concept, while rich green tones, warm LED lighting, vintage seating, rugs, and floor lamps created cozy reading corners throughout the store. Every area was carefully designed to encourage customers to discover books, enjoy a coffee, and stay longer.
